This conservation residential community consists of 900 acres and is situated on 3.5 miles of Savannah River shoreline. River Island offers its residents the opportunity to enroll their children in one of the highest ranked school systems that the state of GA has to offer, Columbia County. It was named the areas’ first conservation community by the Central Savannah River Land Trust.
