Oakwood, Georgia Kroger Marketplace

The New Oakwood Kroger Marketplace is a grocery-anchored retail development positioned at Mundy Mill Road and Millside Parkway in Oakwood, Georgia. From a developer standpoint, this is a strong northeast Georgia retail opportunity because it combines a new Kroger Marketplace anchor, frontage along a major commercial corridor, proximity to the University of North Georgia–Gainesville campus, and access to the growing Gainesville–Oakwood–Flowery Branch trade area.

Kroger broke ground on the new Marketplace at 4050 Millside Parkway in September 2025. The store will encompass more than 123,000 square feet and is expected to open in fall 2026. The Marketplace format is planned to include grocery, floral, bakery, deli, meat, fresh produce, Starbucks, sushi, Murray’s Cheese, expanded household/baby/toy/apparel departments, full-service pharmacy with drive-thru, pickup services, and a fuel center.  The center will include approximately 16,800 square feet of retail shop space available for lease adjacent to the Kroger Marketplace and Outparcels fronting Mundy Mill Rd set to deliver in 2027.  This shop space and outparcels are well-positioned for tenants that benefit from daily grocery trips, strong visibility, and repeat customer traffic.
