Nate joined Southeastern in 2019 to open and lead the West Region office based in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. He is responsible for leading the multifamily and retail development projects across the region and provides consulting services to retailers and investors. Nate brings 18 years of diverse real estate experience to the team. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate from the University of North Texas.
Nate is a focused leader talented in identifying high-potential opportunities in multiple markets. He is a leader in retail market strategy with the ability to quickly dissect a market, and then move easily from vision and strategy to implementation. He is skilled at cultivating long-term relationships with key decision makers to yield high and sustainable returns. He has experience in new ground up development, market strategy, site selection and acquisition, valuation modeling, joint-venture partnerships, shopping center acquisitions, asset disposition, competitive business acquisitions, government entitlements, sale-leaseback transactions, lease restructuring, and consulting.
Prior to joining Southeastern, Nate worked for The Kroger Company in various real estate capacities for 14 years. He left Kroger as Regional Director of Real Estate for the Central Region overseeing and leading his team in the development and management of Kroger’s real estate strategy and $500M annual capital expenditure program across 840 +/- stores in 18 states and a contributing member of the Real Estate Investment Committee. Nate notably created and implemented an aggressive $665M 5-year new store/expansion real estate strategy for the Dallas Division that produced 24 new stores (2.6M SF), 6 expanded stores, and 6 land-banked locations to increase Kroger Market Share in the MSA.
Nate started his real estate career in 2002 with OTC Investments in Fort Worth, Texas. His primary responsibilities included management of 85 residential for lease properties, analyzing new investment opportunities, organizing and managing the construction process for new multifamily and single-family homes, and managing a consistent pipeline of homes that were purchased, remodeled, and sold for a profit.
