This 62-acre Wal-Mart anchored development commenced in 2009. Construction on a 7,000 SF multi-tenant retail building was completed in April 2011. In 2010, Columbia County purchased 50 acres on the rear of the Gateway development, on which Southeastern developed a +50,000 SF building. Columbia County leases 25,000 SF to the YMCA to serve as its Grovetown location and the remaining square footage houses the Columbia County Exhibition Center. Due to the high density of existing and future residential development in the area, the abundance of major employers, and close proximity to I-20, Gateway continues to be a preferred destination for restaurant, retail, and professional uses.
