Richland Mall Redevelopment
Columbia, SC | Mixed-Use DevelopmentIn 2023, Southeastern acquired Richland Mall in Columbia, SC with the vision of transforming the site into a dynamic, mixed-use destination. Following the departure of the final tenants, demolition of the existing mall structure began in 2024. The redevelopment, spanning 25.5 acres, will be completed in three phases and will feature a vibrant mix of retail, multifamily residences, a Kroger grocery store, and more. An additional 6.5 acres from the original 32-acre site were purchased by the City of Forest Acres for the development of a new city park. Leasing opportunities include retail and restaurant space fronting Forest Drive, with select spaces offering views of the future park. Additional retail, outparcels, and a planned hotel will be situated along Beltline Boulevard, creating a walkable, activated environment for residents and visitors alike.
