Daniel F. Hellams

President and Chief Executive Officer - Oak Capital, LLC

In 2008, Mr. Hellams co-founded Oak Capital, LLC which serves as the Manager of the Oak Fund(s). After graduation from the University Of South Carolina in 1972 where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance, he joined North Carolina National Bank (now Bank Of America) where he served in various executive positions until his retirement in 2002.  His position at the time of retirement was President, Bank Of America Mortgage Corporation, one of the top five mortgage companies in America.  In December 2002, Mr. Hellams became a Managing Director and Senior Vice President of GMAC RFC in Minneapolis where he was responsible for Correspondent Client Management Nationally.  Mr. Hellams retired from GMAC RFC in December 2007.

Mr. Hellams served on the Residential Board Of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association Of America, the Fannie Mae Southeastern Advisory Board and the Freddie Mac Advisory Board. Mr. Hellams served on the Board Of Directors and as Treasurer of The Dore Academy (now The John Crosland School).
