Shelter Cove Towne Centre

Shelter Cove Towne Center is a 42-acre redevelopment that will consist of over 270,000 SF of retail space, 240 luxury waterfront apartments, and a 7-acre linear park. This mixed-use project will be the perfect mix of shops, restaurants, and residences overlooking Broad Creek on Hilton Head Island. The existing mall located onsite has been redeveloped into a unique upscale walking village, with Kroger and Belk serving as anchor tenants. Kroger and Belk occupy roughly 200,000 SF while the remaining 70,000 SF consists of additional retail and restaurant space. A joint venture between Southeastern Development Associates and Kroger Real Estate, Shelter Cove Towne Centre has become a vibrant shopping destination providing both residents and the 2.5 million visitors that vacation in the area yearly with a unique outdoor shopping experience in an open, park-like atmosphere.

In cooperation with the Town of Hilton Head, a 5-acre linear park has been developed and is currently being expanded to include an additional 2 acres. Walking and biking trails wind throughout and connect with the existing trail system that extends across the 12 mile radius of the island. Set in an ideal location overlooking the Broad River, the park also serves as the primary location for live events throughout the year, such as festivals, fireworks shows, and concerts. 240 luxury waterfront apartments are currently under construction and will anchor the eastern end of the park.  Completion of these upscale residences is anticipated to occur in the fourth quarter of 2017.
